Mike Garvey and Dana Sudborough met in Dallas in 1999 playing in a Latin Jazz trio in local venues. In the trio, Mike played piano and Dana played drums and percussion. They formed Subtle Vibes in early 2000, where Dana could play his vibraphone. Their music has a jazzy melodic style, interwoven harmonies, and a pleasing, subtle instrumentation. Mike and Dana share common musical backgrounds that combine over 30 years of professional performing experience.
